The SOLINDARITY project was part of the workshop organised by INDHEAP, one of SOLINDARITY’s sister projects. The workshop, titled “Hybrid solar systems for industrial process heat and power: from concepts to implementation”, took place in Graz, Austria, as a side event of the ISEC conference.
The event brought together leading experts from both projects to deep dive into the latest innovations and the future of solar energy, thermal storage and industrial decarbonisation.
SOLINDARITY was well represented by several partners contributing to different sessions of the programme:
– Panteleimon Tzouganakis (CERTH) presented the SEHUS technology and introduced the three SOLINDARITY demo sites
–Varshil Dalal (DLR) shared insights on testing and demonstration activities through the project
–Robert Haberl (OST) contributed to the second session with a presentation on heat storage technologies
–Dimitrios Papageorgiou (TVP Solar) presented hybrid solar thermal systems for industrial process applications
–Lucia Torlai (Solar Heat Europe) took part in the final panel discussion “From pilot to scale: can hybrid solar systems meet industrial heat and power demands?”
The workshop provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and highlighted the growing role of hybrid solar solutions in supporting the decarbonisation of industrial heat and power.
